Andrew is sleeping next to me on the couch while I watch a movie, with one arm resting against me and the other against Luna.
We spent the last five days together at his parents house in St. Louis. Friday and Saturday night we spent downtown at different clubs and casinos with his friends. As we were walking I pointed out all the apartments and their large windows, mesmerized by how everything in the city is in fact very large and bright and exciting. Talking about how we could live in one of those apartments one day.
We got home tonight, and I realized that all I really missed were my animal babies and nothing else, really. Sometimes I daydream about what it would be like if in the future we just packed up and went somewhere else...anywhere else really, just together.
