i think it says a lot about a person when they make the effort to tell you happy birthday even when you may not be on the best of terms.
i also think it says a lot about a person when they don't.
i worked at wal-mart on my birthday/thanksgiving. it wasn't horrible but it certainly wasn't fun, i have truly never seen so many thankless people in my life.
